Step-by-step

    • Add butter to heated milk.
    • Add sugar and salt.
    • Put yeast in water.
    • When butter is melted, add the water/yeast mixture.
    • Add flour until you have a soft dough.
    • Knead for several minutes until smooth.
    • Put in greased bowl and let rise about 15 minutes.
    • Punch down, roll on floured board to ½ inch thickness.
    • Cut out 3 inch circles with a cutter.
    • Fold over each circle and press the side to keep fold in.
    • Place on greased cookie sheet and let rise another 15 minutes.
    • Bake at 375° for about 15 minutes or until nicely browned.
    • Makes 2 dozen.
