I've been a housewife for over 20 years now, and in that time I've learned a thing or two about cooking. One of my favorite dishes to make is chili. It's easy to make, hearty, and perfect for a cold winter day.

My chili recipe is a bit different from most others you'll find. I use a combination of ground beef and chili beans, which gives it a bit more flavor and substance. I also add a bit of cumin and jalapeno peppers, which gives it a bit of a kick.

If you're looking for an easy and delicious chili recipe, I highly recommend trying mine. You won't be disappointed!

Step-by-step

    • In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine the ground beef, onion and bell peppers. Saute for about 5 minutes, or until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
    • Add the chili powder, garlic, bay leaf, cumin, chile peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    • Stir in the beans and heat through.
