The vibrant green hues deepened, hinting at the richness to come. The final flourish – the addition of cream, a splash of white wine, and a touch of Tabasco – elevated the soup to a level I never expected. The subtle spiciness of the Tabasco perfectly balanced the creamy richness, creating a complex flavor profile that was both sophisticated and comforting. Garnished with some crispy fried leeks (because why not indulge a little?), the bisque was a masterpiece, a culinary testament to the beauty of simple ingredients and slow cooking.
