Ingredients:

For the Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp noodle dipping sauce
  • 1 knob ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tsp potato starch

For the Buri Teriyaki Don:

  • 3 fillets buri (yellowtail)
  • Cooked rice
  • 1/3 lettuce, shredded
  • Nori seaweed, crumbled

Step-by-step

    • Make the Teriyaki sauce. Combine the Teriyaki sauce ingredients (noodle dipping sauce, peeled and grated ginger, sake, mirin, potato starch) and mix well.
    • Heat the frying pan and cook the yellowtails until browned on medium heat. It doesn't need oil on the frying pan because yellowtails have a lot of fat.
    • Turn the yellowtails over and cook the other side.
    • Add the teriyaki sauce, and cook for a few minutes.
    • Serve rice on a plate. And put the shredded lettuce and crumple nori seaweed by hand on the rice.
    • Put the cooked yellowtail teriyaki on the rice. DONE!
