Step-by-step

    • Firstly make the jaggery water. Take a pan, add 3 cups of water and jaggery in it and let it come to boil until all the jaggery gets dissolved. Turn off the stove and let it cool.
    • Peel all the almonds and crush 4-5 almonds.
    • Put the ghee in a pan and set the flame as medium high. Add the crushed almonds and stir for 1 min.
    • Add the wheat flour and stir continuously till the color of the flour changes to golden brown and you are able to smell the aroma of roasted wheat. It will also release ghee.
    • Now add jaggery water and turn the flame to high. Stir vigorously so that no lumps are formed. You will see all the water is absorbed by flour.
    • Stir for a few minutes to get the consistency of halwa. Add cardamom and mix well.
    • Halwa is prepared. Garnish with leftover almonds and serve it.
