Mozzarella Stuffed Garlic Rolls: A Simple Recipe for Comfort Food

Mozzarella Stuffed Garlic Rolls: A Simple Weeknight Delight

As a busy working mom, finding time to cook delicious, home-cooked meals can feel like a Herculean task. Weeknights are often a whirlwind of school pick-ups, homework help, and the general chaos of family life. But even amidst the whirlwind, I believe everyone deserves a comforting, delicious meal that doesn't require hours in the kitchen. That's why I developed this recipe for Mozzarella Stuffed Garlic Rolls – it’s simple, relatively quick, and utterly satisfying. These rolls are perfect for a casual weeknight dinner, a family gathering, or even a cozy night in with a good movie. The soft, pillowy dough enveloping the warm, melty mozzarella is pure comfort food heaven. And the best part? The entire process is surprisingly straightforward, even for someone with limited culinary experience.

The magic of this recipe lies in its simplicity. I avoid complicated techniques or hard-to-find ingredients. The base is simple pizza dough—you can easily find this pre-made in the freezer section of most grocery stores, saving you precious time. I often grab a package on my weekly grocery run and keep it tucked away for occasions just like this. Then it's simply a matter of cutting the dough, adding mozzarella, and baking until golden brown. The aroma filling my kitchen during baking is enough to make anyone's mouth water. The final touch is a simple garlic-herb butter, which elevates the rolls to a whole new level of flavor.

Beyond its ease and deliciousness, this recipe is also incredibly versatile. Feel free to get creative! Experiment with different cheeses, add herbs, or even include other fillings like sun-dried tomatoes or spinach. The possibilities are endless. The beauty is that you can personalize it to match your family’s preferences and whatever ingredients you might already have on hand. You can serve these rolls as an appetizer, a side dish with your favorite pasta or soup, or even as a light meal with a side salad. Trust me, they will disappear quickly!

This recipe isn't just about the food; it’s about creating a warm and inviting atmosphere at home. The act of baking, the comforting aroma that fills the kitchen, and the joy of sharing a delicious meal with loved ones—that’s what makes this recipe truly special. It’s a small moment of happiness in the midst of a busy life, a reminder that even amidst the chaos, there's always time for something delicious and comforting.

So, the next time you’re looking for a simple yet satisfying weeknight dinner, I highly encourage you to try my Mozzarella Stuffed Garlic Rolls. You won’t be disappointed! It's more than just a recipe; it's a little bit of happiness baked into every bite.

Step-by-step

    • Cut your Mozzarella into semi medium chunks. Not too huge because you have to wrap dough around it.
    • Roll your pizza dough into a cylinder.
    • Cut into four chunks and then cut into thirds.
    • Wrap one of the dough balls around the mozzarella cheese, making sure you make a tight seal.
    • Place in a pan. I used a 10 inch pie plate.
    • Repeat with remaining dough balls.
    • Mix your oil or butter with the parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and Italian herbs, and brush the rolls with it.
    • When you have used it all place it in a 350°F oven till it gets golden brown.
    • Heat up Marinara sauce to serve this with.
