I'm always looking for new and delicious ways to top my crepes, and this Crepe Topping: Sauteed Bananas recipe is definitely a winner.

It's so easy to make, and the bananas add a natural sweetness that pairs perfectly with the richness of the crepes. I also love that this topping is a bit different from the usual suspects, like chocolate sauce or fruit compote. It's sure to impress your guests, and it's a great way to use up any ripe bananas you have on hand.

Step-by-step

    • While butter is melting in pan, slice bananas.
    • Then, add palm sugar to pan. It didn't dissolve the first time I made it, but it added a nice sweetness. I don't think more than 1/2 Tbs would be necessary, though because bananas are already sweet.
    • Add bananas to pan & sautee to perfection.
    • I didn't include fresh squeezed orange juice the first time, but it sure sounds yummy.
    • Top with cream cheese/creme fraiche frosting recipe and/or berries.
