I got this recipe from Alton Brown's "Good Eats". I have added spinach so there is a good veggie in it! You absolutely can't taste the spinach. My 5 year old loves this.

I was so excited to try this recipe because I love Alton Brown's recipes. I also love smoothies, so this was a perfect combination. I was a little hesitant about adding spinach to a smoothie, but I couldn't taste it at all! This smoothie is so delicious and refreshing, and I love that it's a healthy way to start my day.

I've been making this smoothie for breakfast every day for the past week, and I'm still not tired of it. It's the perfect way to get my fruits and vegetables in, and it's so easy to make. I just throw all of the ingredients into my blender and blend until it's smooth. I usually add a little bit of water or almond milk to thin it out, but that's optional. I also like to add a scoop of protein powder to my smoothie for an extra boost of protein.

Step-by-step

    1. The night before, fill your blender "pitcher" with all ingredients and place in the refrigerator.
    2. Place blender pitcher on a digital scale and measure ingredients by weight.
    3. The next morning, place on blender base and "chop" for about 1 minute.
    4. If needed..... Pulse a number of times to get desired consistency.
    5. Enjoy
