The Perfect Spaghetti Sauce As a busy housewife, I am always looking for ways to make delicious meals that my family will love without spending a lot of time in the kitchen. This spaghetti sauce is one of my go-to recipes because it is so easy to make and always a hit. What I love most about this sauce is that it is so versatile. I can use it on any type of pasta, and I can add different ingredients to change the flavor. For example, I sometimes add mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach to the sauce. I also like to experiment with different types of cheese. The best part about this sauce is that it is so easy to make. I can usually have it on the table in less than 30 minutes. This makes it the perfect meal for busy weeknights. If you are looking for a delicious and easy spaghetti sauce, I highly recommend trying this recipe. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Step-by-step

    • Brown the meat in a large saucepan over medium heat.
    • Add the chopped onion and garlic and continue to cook until the onions are soft.
    • Drain off the fat.
    • Add the diced tomatoes, salt and pepper, and oregano. Mix over low-medium heat.
    • Add the tomato paste and mix well.
    • Then add the spaghetti sauce. Simmer on low, covered. The longer the sauce simmers, the better the flavors will mix and the diced tomatoes will soften.
    • When you start to boil water for your pasta, add the ricotta cheese to the sauce and mix well.
    • Taste the sauce and add seasonings as needed.
    • Serve over the pasta of your choice with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
