As a busy working mom, I'm always looking for delicious and refreshing treats that I can make quickly and easily. This gelato recipe is perfect for those hot summer days when I need a sweet pick-me-up. The combination of fresh strawberries and creamy whipped cream is simply irresistible, and the best part is that it's ready in just a few minutes.

I love that this gelato is made with all-natural ingredients, so I can feel good about giving it to my family. The fresh strawberries provide a burst of sweetness and flavor, while the whipped cream adds a rich and creamy texture. The best part is that this gelato is so easy to make, even my kids can help me out.

Step-by-step

    • Pull off the leaves and stems from the strawberries, and cut the berries in half, unless they are exceptionally small. Wash the berries in cold water.
    • Put the strawberries with all the sugar in the bowl of a food processor, process for a few moments, then add 3/4 cup water and continue to process until liquefied.
    • Whip the cream until it thickens slightly, to the consistency of buttermilk. Put the cream and the pureed strawberries in a bowl, and mix thoroughly.
    • Chill the mixture, then freeze it in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
