As a housewife, I'm always looking for ways to impress my family and friends with delicious treats without spending hours in the kitchen. This Hawaiian Rum Cake is one of my go-to recipes because it's incredibly flavorful and takes no time at all to make.

The cake itself is moist and fluffy, with a hint of rum that adds a touch of sophistication. The frosting is rich and creamy, with a hint of coconut that complements the pineapple perfectly. The combination of flavors is simply irresistible, and I've never met anyone who didn't love it.

Step-by-step

    1. Follow preperation directions on a box of yellow cake mix.
    2. Add 1/4 tsp. rum extract and mix well.
    3. Add crushed pineapple with any juice and mix well with spoon.
    4. Bake according to package directions.
    5. Cool completely
    6. Take whipped butter cream frosting and put into med size bowl.
    7. Add 1/4 rum extract and mix well.
    8. Add coconut flakes, mix until well blended.
    9. Frost like usual.
