As a housewife, I'm always looking for easy and delicious recipes that my family will love. This Bacon and Spinach Pastries recipe is a perfect example of a dish that is both simple to make and packed with flavor. I love that it can be served as an appetizer or as a main course, making it a versatile dish that can be enjoyed at any time.

The best part about this recipe is that it only requires a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand. The bacon and spinach add a savory and earthy flavor to the pastries, while the puff pastry gives them a light and flaky texture. I like to serve these pastries with a dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or marinara sauce, but they are also delicious on their own. I highly recommend giving this recipe a try if you're looking for an easy and flavorful appetizer or main course.

Step-by-step

    • Preheat oven to 190 degrees celcius.
    • Cook bacon in heated frying pan, stirring until crips
    • Using hands, squeeze moisture from spinach; chop finely
    • Combine bacon, spinach and dip in medium bowl.
    • Cut each sheet of pastry into four equal squares.
    • Spoon one-eighth of the spinach mixture into centre of each square. Fold pastry over to form a triangle. Pinch edges together to seal.
    • Place triangles on oiled oven tray. Brush with egg.
    • Bake uncovered in hot oven, about 15 minutes or until browned and crisp.
