As I was planning my small Christmas party, I was thinking about what kind of treats I wanted to serve. I wanted something that was festive and fun but also something that wasn't overly rich or complicated to make. I also wanted something that would appeal to a variety of tastes. After some thought, I decided to make mini brownie bites. Not only is this a great way to get a delicious treat in a smaller size, but they are also easy to make ahead of time and can be served at room temperature.

I started with a basic brownie recipe, then I added a layer of mint frosting and a layer of chocolate ganache. The mint frosting is light and fluffy, and it adds a refreshing touch to the brownies. The chocolate ganache is rich and decadent, and it adds a perfect finishing touch to these treats. I cut the brownies into bite-sized pieces, and they were the perfect addition to my party platter. They were a hit with my guests, and I'm sure they will be a hit at your next party too. Give them a try, and let me know what you think.

Step-by-step

    • Preheat oven to 350 F and grease a 9x13" baking pan.
    • Cream sugar and butter, then add vanilla. Add eggs, 1 cup flour, and chocolate syrup. Mix well and spread into prepared pan. Bake for around 30 minutes.
    • For the mint layer, mix butter with powdered sugar and creme de menthe. Spread over cooled brownie layer.
    • For the chocolate layer, melt chocolate chips and butter. Pour over creme de menthe layer.
    • Cool and cut into serving sizes.
