2 cups water* pinch of coarse salt 1 cup barley* 1/2 cup toasted 1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. whole flaxseed (i used ground) 1/4 cup pure maple syrup*note: use millet to make this gluten-free. if you use millet, increase water to 6 cups total.
