Step-by-step

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cut the tops off the peppers, and remove the seeds. Cook peppers in boiling water for 5 minutes; drain. Sprinkle salt inside each pepper, and set aside.

  • In a large skillet, saute beef and onions for 5 minutes, or until beef is browned. Drain off excess fat, and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the tomatoes, rice, 1/2 cup water and Worcestershire sauce. Cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until rice is tender. Remove from heat, and stir in the cheese.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. (175 degrees C). Stuff each pepper with the beef and rice mixture, and place peppers open side up in a baking dish. In a medium bowl, combine tomato soup with just enough water to make the soup a gravy consistency. Pour over the peppers.

  • Bake covered for 25 to 35 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.

I'm a busy woman, always on the go. I don't have a lot of time to cook, but I still want to eat healthy and delicious meals. That's why I love this recipe for Stuffed Green Peppers. It's easy to make, and it's packed with flavor. I also love that it's a one-pot meal, so there's less cleanup.

The first time I made this recipe, I was a little hesitant. I'm not a big fan of green peppers. But I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them. The peppers are stuffed with a flavorful mixture of ground beef, rice, tomatoes, and cheese. The combination of flavors is perfect, and the peppers are cooked to perfection. They're soft and tender, but they still have a little bit of a crunch to them.

I've made this recipe several times since then, and it's always a hit with my family and friends. I love that it's a versatile recipe that can be easily customized to your own taste. For example, you could add different vegetables to the stuffing, or you could use a different type of cheese. You could also bake the peppers in a tomato sauce, or you could grill them. No matter how you make them, Stuffed Green Peppers are a delicious and satisfying meal. Give them a try, and I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do.
