Every weekend we used to have breakfast (or brunch) together as a family. My children were little and we started this tradition to have a special time together without any distractions. Weekdays were busy and everyone had their own activities, so the weekend was our time to connect as a family. We would use this opportunity to catch up, share our week's highlights and plan for the upcoming week.

One of our favorite breakfast meals was waffles. For many years I would use a mix, but later I started experimenting with different recipes, and now I make my own waffle mix. I have perfected my recipe over the years, and I must say that these chocolate waffles are to die for!
