Step-by-step

  • Place milk, salt and pepper and chopped potatoes into TM bowl
  • Cook for 20 minutes at 100oC on speed 1
  • Ensure potatoes are well cooked before mashing
  • They are well cooked when they start to fall apart
  • Do not mash undercooked potatoes as they wil be very gluey
  • Insert butterfly
  • Add the butter
  • Mash for 20-30 seconds on speed 3-4
  • You can mash without the butterfly
  • To add butterfly simply move potatoes to side of bowl to insert securely
  • For smaller quantities, simply reduce the amount of potatoes and the liquid proportionately
  • If reducing quantity, reduce the cooking time by approx 5 minutes
