Step-by-step

  • Heat oil in heavy stock pot, fry chicken - set aside.
  • In same oil, fry onions, carrots, rice slowly until onions start to brown lightly.
  • Add garlic, pepper for few minutes, then everything except spinach.
  • Cook few minutes till slow boil.
  • Add spinach - another 4 minutes and you're done.
  • Freezes well.
