Step-by-step

  • In the top of a double boiler, melt chocolate over hot water.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, salt, and, if desired, nuts.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Turn into a waxed paper-lined 8-inch square pan. (I used a 9-inch square pan, sprayed with cooking oil, which worked well.)
  • Chill.
  • Cut into pieces and store in an airtight container.

This fudge is so easy to make and it's always a hit with my family and friends. It's the perfect dessert for any occasion, and it's also a great way to use up any leftover chocolate chips you have on hand.

The best part about this fudge is that it doesn't require any special skills or equipment. All you need is a double boiler and a few simple ingredients. Plus, it's a great recipe for kids to help with, so it's a fun activity for the whole family.
